Smoken Wicked First Winner for Bobby's Wicked One
Valene Farms' Smoken Wicked became the first winner for Louisiana-based freshman stallion Bobby's Wicked One in taking a maiden race for 2-year-olds at Evangeline Downs June 1 by 7 1/2 lengths. Smoken Wicked was the sire's first starter.

61-Day Evangeline Downs Meet to Begin April 7
The Louisiana Racing Commission recently approved an amended dates schedule for the 2023 Thoroughbred season at Evangeline Downs. The meet will now consist of 61 days of racing, with opening night April 7.

The 2022 season at Evangeline Downs will begin Wednesday, April 6. The meet will consist of 84 days of racing, running on a Wednesday through Saturday weekly schedule and concluding Aug. 27. First post each night at the new time of 5:30 p.m. CT.
