3.25 ★ El argumento básicamente es que el Rey de la Luz quiere construir un reinado nuevo en un terreno que le pertenece a la oscuridad. Para negociar con el Rey de la Oscuridad, Zebb, decide mandar a su hijo Rain. Estos dos se enamoran solo de verse y Zebb entrega los terrenos a cambio que Rain sea su amante. Todo funciona bien por un tiempo hasta que, de repente, Rain desaparece. Sin entrar en demasiado detalle, cualquier giro argumental de la trama, se ve venir de lejos . Como punto alto, el arte y diseño de personajes es hermoso, tiene un buen hizo del blanco y negro para representar cada reino, y un manejo de las líneas muy delicado. Los personajes pricipales son interesantes y su relación es bastante sana, incluso los personjes secundarios tienen su encanto (Mist es tal vez mi favorito tiene presencia en los paneles aunque no haga nada). En general es un buen manga yaoi, de lo mejorcito que he leído en mucho tiempo, es dulce (lo cual puede jugarle en contra a algunos fans del género) y es entretenido. Si están buscando leer algo de fantasía drama-free y con poco background es una buena opción. --- The story goes a little like this: the "land" is engulfed in darkness but the King of Light, who lives in heaven, wants to create a Nation of Light there. So he sends his son to negotiate with the King of Darkness. In a clear insta love moment, Zebb and Rain, fall in love. Since Zebb wants his lover to be happy, he gives the King of Light the land he wished for. Everything goes perfectly for the lovers until when day when Rain mysteriously disappears. This is a yaoi manga, pretty much everything you can imagine that will happened, happens. So there are no surprises on that front. That being said, even if the twist were evident it's a nice read. I will start with the higher points. The art is beautiful, playing with black and white to show each kingdom visually, the lines are simple but delicate, really great work. Regarding the plot, it could be hit-or-miss at times since it has several things going on at the same time, and none of them matters except the love story. Overall, the romance es cute, the art is wonderful but the plot it's all over the place and the twists are super predictable. And if you want answers for all the loose ends, this book is not for you. Still, probably the best yaoi that I have read in several months.

"Neo Arcadia" es un manga yaoi de fantasía con un arte maravilloso, una mitología bastastante simple y una historia de amor adorable.
De todos modos, como no es un manga de intriga palaciega sino de romance, poco importa. De hecho, hay partes del argumento que no solo no se resuelven sino que al final del día no tienen peso. Por ejemplo, los reyes de los distintos elementos aparecen por unos pocos paneles, no aportan nada y lo único que de verdad hacen -que es cerrar una puerta- podría haber sido resuelto sin ellos.
Otro hilo argumental es sobre un golpe de estado en el Reino de la Oscuridad que literalmente terminan con un "hablaremos más tarde".
Cualquier cosa que no se encuentre relacionada a la pareja principal y su romance, está puramente de relleno.
This is a sweet yaoi manga that tells us the love story between the King of Darkness, Zebb, and the son of the King of Light, Rain.
The love story is sweet -maybe too much for some people-, but I loved it, there are a few spicy scenes but it was the perfect amount for me.
The mythological background for this story was OK, not too fancy but not too complex.
There is a tiny subplot with the Kings from the Lands that goes nowhere and that actually has no impact at all .
Also, there is a mystery around Theai and his past but it's so evident that everyone can see it coming.
And because all of this was not enough, there is a subplot about a coup in the dark kingdom that I'm only willing to give it a pass because Mist is probably my favorite character even if he does nothing.
